Whilst on site we would require certain access and provisions depending on the premises type.
For Residential buildings we would require access to all communal spaces as well as the following:
- Access to any riser cupboards
- Access to any communal cupboards
- Electric/gas installations
- Roof space (if applicable)
- Common area door inspection
- Sample in

- Sample inspection of flat/resident entrance doors (10% of the total number of flats).
Note: For residential buildings that are not staffed, an arrangement will be necessary to gain access to the building and be provided with any keys or fobs necessary to access all relevant areas.
For commercial buildings we would require the following:
- Access to all areas (some exceptions are understood)
- Any keys or fobs needed to navigate the building or alternatively, a staff member to chaperone us
- Time with a senior staff member for the *interview part of the visit.
*The interview involves a sit down with a senior staff member. This is to enquire about how the building is managed regarding fire safety and a run through of all necessary documentation, as well as an opportunity for Q&A.
